How to Store Cannabis Properly in New York’s Humid Climate

Hello again, Joyful Shores community! 🌺💚

Living in Long Island means sunshine, sea breezes, and yes—humidity. While great for beach days, that moisture can be rough on your cannabis. Here’s how to keep your stash fresh, flavorful, and potent in Babylon's unique climate.

Why It Matters: Poor storage = dried out flower, lost terpenes, and even mold. Yikes!

Top Storage Tips:

  • Use Airtight Containers: Glass jars with tight lids are your best bet.

  • Avoid Plastic Bags: They allow air and moisture in, degrading quality.

  • Keep It Cool and Dark: Store your cannabis in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

  • Humidity Packs: Add a Boveda or similar pack to maintain ideal humidity (around 58-62%).

Bonus Tip: Refrigerators and freezers? Not ideal. The moisture fluctuations can ruin your bud. Stick to room temperature in a stable environment.

At Joyful Shores, we’re all about helping you enjoy your cannabis to the fullest. Ask our team for tips when we open later this year!
